CorrQuest can provide complete PLC retrofits for any Flexo. We use readily available, off-the-shelf hardware and provide unlocked, fully editable PLC programs. Our solutions feature a rich, graphical, intuitive user interface with built-in system diagnostics. Below are some specific flexos that we have upgraded.
CorrQuest has upgraded over 30 Ward (brand) flexos. This includes 37.5”, 50” and 66” and Jumbo models. We upgrade the whole machine from the feed section to the counter-ejector.
We remove all the proprietary circuit boards and replace them with standard, off-the-shelf Allen-Bradley hardware. Our solution eliminates the Giddings and Lewis (brand) PLC hardware and replaces with standard A-B hardware. We replace the obsolete Indramat servo hardware with Allen-Bradley servos and drives.
The final product is a machine that is easier to operate and simpler to troubleshoot with less downtime. We can usually quote a Ward (brand) flexo by asking just a short list of questions about your machine.
If you are looking for an upgrade on a Gophert, Baumuller or similar brand machine, CorrQuest can provide an upgrade with easy to obtain components. We have experience with German style prints. The final product will be all English. New schematics, new programming and new operator interface. The built-in diagnostics significantly reduces associated downtime.
CorrQuest’s customers have found that the original OEM monitors/ keyboards are difficult to locate and replace. CorrQuest can present a monitor solution that uses standard flatscreen monitors (VGA) with a standard keyboard to replace the OEM CRT (tube) monitor.
CorrQuest provides upgrades for Martin (brand) finishing machines. This includes Mini 618, Midline 924 and Transline 1228 models. Specifically our upgrades address some of the main challenges of these machines. CorrQuest upgrades:
CorrQuest can provide a quote for upgrading a Martin Mini, Midline, or Transline with a short list of questions answered by you.
CorrQuest provides upgrades for S&S flexos with a variety of options. This includes stack counting and using variable speed drives on the “pusher”. We can change DC main drive motors for AC main drives as well.
Some Langston flexos, such as the Saturn III, have a stand-alone PC for setting up the machine. Others use a IDT “membrane” operator terminal at the operator console. Still others have both. CorrQuest can provide an upgrade that will eliminate the need for the IDT display and the setup PC. In addition, our upgrade platform is “future ready”. At some point in the future that the PLC5 hardware is unavailable, the CorrQuest solution has capacity to control the whole machine. In this way, dollars spent now equal future savings.
CorrQuest is upgrading Summit II flexos with new Allen-Bradley hardware. The PC and some machine hardware are unavailable and unsupportable at this time. CorrQuest removes the proprietary printed circuit boards (PCBs) and the obsolete drives. The end result provides a modern PanelView Plus (Allen-Bradley), new Allen-Bradley drives and motors, and off-the shelf hardware. This upgrade includes diagnostics and automatic setup.
CorrQuest provides upgrades for McKinley presses and flexos with new Allen-Bradley hardware. These machines often use old Modicon controls and are difficult to support.
We provide a completely new control system with troubleshooting diagnostics and new schematics. In this way, customers have a reliable machine with available parts and support is just a phone call away.
CorrQuest can provide new motors and drives to replace existing motors. In most cases, the cost of a replacement DC motor is more that the AC motor and drive. Additionally, AC motors have an advantage over DC motors since they do not require brush maintenance. In most cases, we can provide a main drive upgrade with or without a full machine controls upgrade.
CorrQuest can provide a turn-key solution for moving any flexo. We provide electrical / mechanical tear down, transportation and installation.
Note: CorrQuest is not associated with MHI, Ward, Gophert, Bahmuller, Martin, McKinley, S&S etc. These machines and their model names are property of the associated company.
