CorrQuest can provide complete PLC retrofits for any Die Cutter. We use readily available off-the-shelf components and provide unlocked programs. Our systems feature intuitive, graphical screens and built in diagnostics. If your die cutter is relay based, we can upgrade it to a new PLC with touchscreen. If you have problematic electronics or just a PLC that is outdated, we can give your machine an electrical refresh.
Our PLC upgrades use off-the-shelf hardware that is easy to get from your local Allen-Bradley distributor.
CorrQuest provides a direct upgrade method for United (brand) die cutters to move away from the Indramat drives and motors that are part of the original machine.
We can eliminate the following:
In the case of the “FlexTouch” series, CorrQuest removes the Indramat drives and motors that control the registers and replace them with standard Allen-Bradley drives. The PanelView Plus touchscreens adds diagnostic and troubleshooting tools.
CorrQuest upgrades these machines similarly to the Ward flexos. We provide a new Allen-Bradley PLC, touchscreen, and replace the resolvers with encoders. The end result is a simple to use, easy to troubleshoot machine.
This upgrade includes the removal of the obsolete Siemens “S5” PLC hardware. We eliminate the “Pins” between the sections and replace with ethernet communications to each section. The new Allen-Bradley PanelView Plus touchscreen provides an easy interface for auto-setup.
CorrQuest has upgraded these machines using the latest Allen-Bradley platform and eliminated the proprietary printed circuit boards previously running the machine. We remove the majority of the interposing relays and, as much as possible, wire inputs and outputs directly to the end device. This helps eliminate over-complicated interlocking relays and aid in troubleshooting. We also provide a new Panelview Plus that provides users a simple interface requiring minimal input for setups.
CorrQuest upgrades Bahmueller Stitcher control systems by replacing existing obsolete Siemens control hardware. The new control system features new control logic customized to the customer’s needs as well as an intuitive graphic operator interface. The upgraded system utilizes Allen Bradley inverter drives with improved diagnostics and configuration ability. This control system upgrade results in throughput increase and decreased troubleshooting downtime.
